The InterPlex Strategy Guide: June–December 2026

Version 1: June 6, 2026

This document outlines a comprehensive organizational strategy for The InterPlex for June–December 2026. It is intended to provisionally survey shared editorial directions, content plans, workflow procedures, and organizational standards that will guide and facilitate our work for at least the remainder of this year. Consider everything outlined in this document provisional and subject to revision. I welcome questions, comments, and suggestions in response to the content presented here.

This document is organized as an index of specific pages grouped under four overarching categories: 1) Editorial; 2) Content; 3) Workflow; and 4) Institutional. Each page is indexed in alphabetical order under each category header. I have also included internal links to other relevant pages to facilitate navigation throughout the document.

  1. Editorial contains recommendations concerning AI use guidelines, contributor guidelines and expectations, and a few specific editorial recommendations intended to improve the stylistic consistency of the InterPlex website.

  2. Content contains an assessment of our aspirations in terms of content volume and associated questions of task priority, checklist templates for major content formats, and proposals concerning the launch of a new podcast format that I have termed InterPods.

  3. Workflow contains reference sheets of best practices for audiovisual recordings, file naming practices, and file organization practices, as well as suggested database templates for keeping track of recruitment efforts and existing contributors. Also included are templates for contributor recruitment, alternatives to Riverside as a dual-track recording platform and automatic transcription software, and, most significantly, a proposal to onboard to Asana as a task management program by which to improve our workflow and coordination.

  4. Institutional includes a database template for keeping track of funding opportunities, a similar database for keeping track of other institutional collaboration opportunities, and a list of templates for outreach to potential partnering institutions of several types.
